Ronny Zaman
Ronny Zaman is the son of Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu, a prominent business leader and politician who founded a Bangladeshi private bank. From a young age, Ronny Zaman was encouraged to pursue his academic studies zealously, with his parents instilling in him the importance of hard work and perseverance. Though the family’s means may have been modest in those early days, Mr Zaman’s dreams, energy and enthusiasm were boundless.
Early Education & Career
As a boy, Ronny Zaman relocated to Dorset, England, where he studied at Sherbourne School. After completing his high school education, Ronny Zaman attended Palm Beach Atlantic College in the United States, graduating with a degree in business administration. Mr Zaman proudly followed in his father’s footsteps, embarking on a career in entrepreneurship.
Simultaneously with his college studies, Ronny Zaman dabbled with various businesses, launching several start-ups and learning invaluable lessons along the way. His first successful venture was a technology company that quickly gained traction.
Like most entrepreneurs, Ronny Zaman faced several significant setbacks and challenges in those early days. Nevertheless, rather than allowing his enthusiasm to be dampened, he embraced those early struggles as valuable learning opportunities. Career
Mr Zaman is probably best known as a director of a private bank established by his father. Over the years, Mr Zaman diversified his business interests considerably. Today, his vast business empire spans a diverse array of industries, serving as a testament to his strategic vision and relentless drive. In addition to his role at the private bank, Mr Zaman also serves as chairman of Navana Pharmaceuticals, Anowara Construction and Gas One.

Mr Zaman is proud to rank as the most generous patron of both Upalabdhi Orphanage and Chattogram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital in Bangladesh.
